Term 4 Maths knowledge.

This term one of the skills I have worked on is to instantly recall divided by 2 facts.

Something I learned was  division.

Something I need to work on is 5 division  facts.

Maths Measurement

WALT Use a ruler accurately to draw 2D shapes .

Something I did well was the 1st shape.

Something I am working on is 3rd shape because it has different lengths of lines so it is tricky for me.

On Friday we tested 3 Smoothie flavours.

Reading poem

Trip to the Museum

We went to the MTG to learn more about Cubism.

Something I really enjoyed was the lava painting.

Something I would like to know more about is the beach painting.

I see the building has wooden planks on it and metal poles . 

The walls are green wood.

I hear a saw cutting wood.

The nails sound like someone is shooting birds. 

I smell the dust from the wood.

I taste the metal pieces.

It is our new classroom.

W.A.L.T. use interesting words to describe. The word I like best in this poem is I smell the dust from the wood.

A word I really liked in Dakotas is I hear the hammers going bang bang bang and the man sanding the fresh wood.

Term 2 birds

Term2- Using interesting vocabulary . The wow word I used was swoop. Something I could improve on is adding more interesting words in my sentences.

In Inquiry Term 2 we learned about wetlands.

Something  I did well was finding information and to sort my facts out correctly and put them under the right headings.

Something I would improve next time is using interesting describing words to make a clear picture for my readers.

Something I can do confidently is the halves.

Something I need to work on is working out fractions that show how many pieces are coloured in groups.

Reading Term 2 In reading this week I read the book 'Wet ' on the Reading Eggspress App I did not use the read-back function. Something Iearned was that crocodiles weigh 1 000 kilograms . I passed all of the comprehension tests. I needed to re-read 4 chapters to pass.

In Inquiry we made a diorama to show what we learned about the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi at Clive. I assessed my diorama as a 3 because I didn't finish/I got all of the objects in the right places . To improve I need four more maori people and the treaty table.

In swimming I am in the seahorse group. When I get in the pool it is freezing cold. Sand on my tipee toes it's like fosed. Something I did well was streamline on my front. I am working on backstroke with freestyle.

Today we went swimming. We were first we did streamline with kicking also we did floating with a flutter board and kicking. Then we got dressed. We watched the dolphins and the advanced dolphins. After that we got dressed.

In writing we are learning to write recounts .

Something I did well was using 'w' details .

Something I need to work on is using order words .
